EVENT UPDATE

On the 3rd October 2019, the Ministry of Youth Affairs extended the Hands Off Our Girls Campaign which is a flagship program of Her Excellency the First Lady Madam Fatima Jabbie Bio to the people of Fabala District as they engaged in a robust Sexual and Reproductive Health and Family Planning Awareness raising program.

Objectives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs

Empower and actively involve youths in a variety of productive activities to develop their full potential and self-esteem through approaches that enhance innovation and youth talent in both rural and urban areas

MISSION

The goal of the Youth Policy is to contribute to the establishment of a more conducive environment in which youth development and empowerment programmes can be collectively and sustainably achieved.

VISION

Develop and empower youths to be nationally conscious and patriotic to contribute positively to the development of Sierra Leone.

Youth In Agriculture

The Youth in agriculture project builds on the Youth Farm project which was limited to a 100 acre plot of farm land in Masalia village in the Port Loko district. The project has since been extended to, Kono, Kenema, Tonkolili and Koinadugu districts.

Youth In Car Wash

The Youth in Car Wash project will benefit male and female, literate or illiterate youths in 60 locations across the country directly benefiting thirty five youths each. The project will also indirectly benefit five dependants of each of the total 2,100 youths across the country.
